This NARS Afterglow Liquid Blush comes in the form of a lightweight, skincare-infused concoction that delivers a buildable flush of colour, all while promising eight-hour hydration. Infused with powerful ingredients, this liquid blush really goes beyond traditional makeup. Sodium hyaluronate provides long-lasting hydration that lasts throughout the day. The Afterglow liquid Blush promises to give you the pleasure of a lasting, natural-looking glow with a buildable and transfer-resistant formula which allows you to layer and blend effortlessly, without any streaking. There are six flattering and flexible shades to choose from, so you're bound to find one that perfectly complements your complexion.

Five GLAMOUR staff put some shades to the test and here are their unfiltered reviews. Warning. The reviews you may read below might make you want to open up your pockets.

Shade: Insatiable

Am I a sucker for blush? Yes. Am I loyal to one specifically? Yes. Am I open to finding room for one more blusher to love? Absolutely. This Nars blusher was unsurprisingly phenomenal. Nars is one of those makeup brands that really understand undertones, so I was expecting big things from this deep plum Insatiable hue. I applied two dots to the cheek, and blended in. A little goes a long way, but I like me some rosy cheeks, so I packed in another layer.

It's blended so seamlessly you'd think that the silky, warm wine coloured hue came straight from my pores. It's the perfect natural, dewy finish that can take a no makeup-makeup day to the next level, or balance out a full beat. The formula is also fluid and ultra creamy, so it glides all over the cheeks easily. This might just be the perfect blusher formulation, or am I reaching?

Shade: Wanderlust

I've been wanting to try a purple blush for a while now, having seen TikTokers raving about how much more flattering they are for olive skin tones. A pinkier lavender with warm undertones, the Nars Afterglow Liquid Blush in Wanderlust seemed like the perfect intro into more purple shade blushes.

First impressions on application were that the texture and finish it gave was just right, not overly matte or likewise too dewy but instead balanced and hydrating. Once on, the product blended with ease, giving me a subtle flushed glow. I loved how lightweight it felt and how easy it was to get an even finish, with the purple tones helping to elevate my natural colourings. I'd definitely reach for this one again as a go-to daily blush.

Shade: Orgasm

I've always loved the Orgasm Multiple so was curious to see how the Afterglow Liquid Blush would perform. Apart from sharing the same cult peach shade, they couldn't be more different. As soon as you pat the Liquid Blush into the skin you notice the lack of shimmer that is a signature of the Multiple. Instead your cheekbones are washed in a gorgeous, high-shine tint that makes your skin look like it's lit from within. The effect is so sheer and natural, you don't look like you're wearing blusher at all. Think a bona fide flush with a glass skin finish and you get the picture. I'm obsessed!

Shade: Brazen

I’m a true liquid blush stan. The formulas are usually really easy to blend and layer, they’re super fun to apply and they create the perfect base for any powder products to follow. When I got my hands on the new NARS Afterglow blush, I was beyond excited. I opted for the colour Brazen, which is a very vibrant and peach (borderline coral) shade that I thought was great for the summer. Immediately, I was blown away with the weightless and super pigmented formula. It can be easily blended out for a sheer finish or layered to create a more dramatic nighttime look. It left a gorgeous, glowy and glazed finish and performed surprisingly well with the rest of my makeup. Rest assured, I will be religiously using this blush throughout summer and beyond. An easy 10/10 for me.

Shade: Insatiable

If there's one thing I know about NARS blushes, it's that they should come with a warning for how pigmented they are. I've always been a fan of the classic Orgasm blush – in both its powder and liquid forms – but have never strayed outside of the shade so was excited to try a new colour: Insatiable. The shade is a deep red-pink and carries some serious pigment payoff credentials. I dabbed one dot of product on each cheek and that was way too much for the first blend. It took me a little longer to blend it out with my fingers in order to get a seamless effect on my skin, so I'd definitely recommend going easy with the amount you apply at first. Overall, I loved the finish and applied some on my lips to get a super cohesive flush of colour.
