Melissa Benoist looks happy to be on set of Supergirl after filing for divorce

The thermometer barely scraped 36F in Vancouver DC on Thursday.

But that didn't stop Supergirl...or the actress who plays her, Melissa Benoist.

She gamely slipped her slender figure into her skimpy costume - a blue and red mini-dress, complete with gold belt, red cape and over-the-knee red boots - as she filmed season three of the CW superhero drama in the frozen north.

To her credit, the smiling 28-year-old resisted the urge to wrap the cape around herself as she walked around the outdoor set as the cameras rolled.

However, Melissa did put on a warm padded jacket as soon as filming finished.

The couple, who met when they co-starred in Glee, were married for just 21 months after tying the knot in March 2015.

The actress has also asked the court to eliminate Jenner from her legal name, and has asked that neither party be ordered to pay the other spousal support.

The Houston native's star has risen since she played Marley Rose in Glee from 2012 to 2014.

Melissa's movie credits include Whiplash, with Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons; The Longest Ride as Scott Eastwood's love interest; Band of Robbers and the upcoming Patriots Day, alongside Mark Wahlberg.

The 5 ft., 8 in. beauty began appearing as Supergirl last year opposite co-stars Mehcad Brooks, Chyler Leigh and Calista Flockhart.
