Abbey Clancy Matalan shoes and bags collection launches

April 2024 · 1 minute read

Abbey Clancy has launched her debut footwear and accessories collection for Matalan and we approve.

There's a strong 70s influence (this summer's most ubiquitous trend), with fringing and suede key features. The fringing heels, dubbed a "hero piece" by the brand, would look good teamed with a pair of boyfriend jeans or an a-line mini skirt, while we envisage the black suede peep toes becoming a wardrobe stalwart, working well in both summer and winter. The woven strappy heels have a SJP vibe, with a tough but sexy edge.

We're also fans of the tan fringing bag and the tassle duffle - both great day-to-night options. Prices start at just £15, which adds to their appeal.

Clancy already has a successful clothing line with Matalan, so her latest offering is just an extension of the collaboration. The range is available from 29 July.

"I never thought I would be designing clothes, let alone bags and shoes," said Clancey. "I wanted to carry on the 70s inspiration from my previous collections and experiment with different textures and colourways to team up perfectly with the collection."
